Terms:

• Hits - Refers to the number of ‘elements’ loaded on your site. If one page has five images in it, viewing that page once adds 6 hits (one page + five images).

• Impressions – Refers to the number of times all the pages on your site are seen (also simply called pageviews). Impressions are sometimes referred to as ‘hits’ which can cause confusion. Impressions are not “hits”.
• Uniques – Refers to the number of people that visited your site. (numbers are unique per the visitors computer).

Now that we have the terminology cleared up, lets dig deep into your website analytics.

To check your statistics, follow the steps below:

1. Login to your Control Panel, known as cPanel.
2. If you are a OneHopWeb customer, click here to login; if not, proceed to step 3.
3. Once you are  logged in, look for an icon labeled “Awstats“
4. Awstats is usually found under “Logs“; go ahead and click the icon.
   
5. After clicking the icon, select the domain you are wanting statistics for.
6. Once you select the domain, you should see this:
7. Going back to the terminology, you will see all the hits, impressions and uniques listed.

Now that you are connected, you need to browse to the following directory to upload your website and files. “public_html” which is displayed below:

Double click “public_html” or “www” folder and you will see your website’s file structure.

Upload your files into that directory; open your browser and visit your domain. Your website should now be live.
